Charlotte “Charly” King is a professional astrologer and author with three years as an associate member of The American Federation of Astrologers.

Born and raised in the UK, she is a proud American citizen, despite pouting about changing her blue hair back to brown because she wanted to be respectable at the interview.

Charly is a science nerd, obsessed with hacking health, prosperity & wellness using a retrospective look at astrological cycles in parallel with those of today. She finished her first book on emotional management in May 2019, (available December 22), while running a horoscope subscription service with daily astrological updates for all signs. Working more with tech developers on dating, wellness, and self-development apps, she has also been using metaphysics to provide algorithms for newcomers in the fin-tech arena and working alongside RNs to investigate health indicators in natal charts. Her favorite areas of astrology have fast become the stock market, health & medicine, and the world's general evolutionary progress.

Charly is the founder of The Horoscope Vault, a new online platform aimed at bringing the benefits of astrology to the public through educational courses and impartial, daily horoscopes.

Most of her time is spent looking at the stars and figuring out the changes that are coming, but in those rare moments when her feet are planted firmly on the ground, she likes to cook, clean, and enjoy the simple aspects of life with her husband and their differently-abled husky, Bean.

The new year began on the back foot with one of the more commonly known retrogrades in full swing at the very moment the ball dropped and the times changed. Mercury, the planet of communication and the internet, has been motioning backward in the sign of Capricorn, and reverse is not exactly the most comfortable direction for any GOAT on any mountain, anywhere.

For the zodiac sign Leo, a partnership or friendship may experience its first proper disagreement, and the overall quarrelsome theme is set to extend the lifespan of any arguments that have recently emerged, far into the next few weeks. This may come as good news for Virgo and Capricorn, who can see any disconnect as a momentary chance for peace and quiet, and knowing that there’s a good chance of patching things up on or around January 18th, enjoy this period, guilt-free.

Friday 6th January brings the first Full Moon of the year in Cancer, with some funky, fun aspects to the quirky planet Uranus, expect surprises and shocks of the positive kind that will require a few adjustments in and around the home and family life. Called the Wolf Moon, the key is to find or create your own space within your schedule, home life, or family unity, where you can retreat to gather yourself and experience some peaceful, clear thinking while the aforementioned shocks and surprises take root. The surprises are not radical, more like they are the beginning of a wild ride, especially for Capricorn and Cancer zodiac signs.

The developments for Capricorn seem effortless to onlookers but the truth is far from it. There has been TONS of effort behind the scenes contributing to the positive gain waiting on the sideline for a center spot. An enhanced position in a career is loading.

At the other end of the astrological wheel, the sister sign, Cancer zodiac signs are on the brink of receiving a highly desirable lucky break, thanks to someone recognizing your efforts and talents, and offering you an opportunity that you MUST take advantage of.

Both Cancer and Capricorn may catch some attitude or mood swings from others who feel you’re neglecting them, which could well be the case. BUT, that’s because this window of opportunity is limited, so stay on your path, alone if you have to, others will understand and catch up eventually.

Astrologically mirroring 1999, tech and internet matters globally may become a source of interest or fear. Remember the y2k hysteria? Where the perception of a big digital virus looming was the result of crossed wires in digital engineering and its data storage capacity and recognition issues. The real risk of the year 2000 was computer machine code recognizing the 00s as indicative of entering 1900, a setback of 100 years creating mayhem in ongoing activities that revolved around the date, time, and evolution.

Don’t be nervous, don’t sweat anything, and go ahead and enjoy the silence because the next few weeks are set to get loud as all signs feel more driven to take a risk.
