Meet Prince! 🐾
Prince is a 7-year-old steel gray beauty who weighs about 50 lbs and is already neutered.
This sweet boy has been at the shelter since May 14, which means he has been waiting for 90 days. Prince has wonderful volunteer notes and so many qualities that would make him an amazing companion.
He is sweet, calm, patient, and smart. He knows sit and shake, walks easily on leash, and is very attentive to his handler. Prince loves everyone he meets, takes treats gently, and is very likely potty trained.
After months of watching other dogs leave while he stays behind, Prince deserves the chance to show who he really is outside of the shelter. A foster or forever home could make all the difference for this gentle, loving boy.

Meet Evie! 🐾
Evie is a 2-year-old mini German Shepherd who weighs just 30 lbs. This sweet little lady is heartworm positive, but her treatment will be covered by the shelter. Heartworm is not contagious and is very manageable with treatment.
Evie is such a sweet girl, but she is still a little timid and needs someone who will be patient with her as she builds confidence. She can be cautious if another dog comes up behind her and is selective with other dogs, so very slow introductions are best.
Outside of that, Evie is easy to leash, easy to walk, and so deserving of a soft place to land. She just needs someone willing to give her the time, love, and reassurance she deserves.

Meet Collin! 🐾
Collin is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a shiny black coat and the cutest fluffy, floppy ears.
This handsome boy is such a good dog and an absolute sweetheart. He walks very easily, listens well, and seems to be potty trained. He may also be a great option for someone living in an apartment with breed restrictions.
Collin has such an easy, lovable way about him and is ready for someone to give him the chance he deserves. If you are looking for a sweet, manageable, adorable companion, Collin might be your guy.

Meet Clooney! 🐾
Clooney is a 2-year-old brown and white Pit mix who weighs about 57 lbs.
This playful, sweet, adorable guy has so many wonderful qualities. He walks nicely on leash, checks in with his handler during walks, knows sit, and takes treats politely.
Clooney loves pets and affection and seems to really enjoy being around people. He was nonreactive walking down the kennel line and showed positive interest toward other dogs, though slow introductions are always recommended.
Clooney is affectionate, attentive, and ready for someone to give him the chance to shine outside the shelter.

Meet Norm! 🐾
Norm is a 3-year-old black Pit mix who weighs about 48 lbs and has the cutest floppy ears.
This sweet boy sits for treats and takes them gently. He seems a little timid at first, but he is full of love and would likely do well with another dog who can help boost his confidence.
Norm loves to jump into your lap for a little affection, and he is still figuring out the fun of toys. He may not really know what to do with them yet, which makes us think he may have never had them before.
Norm is gentle, sweet, and so deserving of a home where he can feel safe, loved, and encouraged to come out of his shell.

Meet Loki! 🐾
Loki is a striking 1.5-year-old black German Shepherd Dog with the prettiest amber eyes. He weighs about 65 lbs and is both house trained and crate trained.
This handsome boy is intelligent, quick to learn, and good with other dogs. Like many shepherds, Loki bonds quickly with his people and will thrive with someone who understands the breed and can give him structure, activity, and consistency.
Loki would do best with an active family that has German Shepherd experience. He may be happiest in a quieter home with one or two people where he can build a strong bond and feel secure.
Loki is smart, loyal, and ready for the right person to help him keep growing into the amazing companion he is meant to be.

Meet Jelly! 🐾
Jelly is around 5 years old, neutered, and a big, smart brindle Staffordshire mix.
When Jelly came to the shelter in May as an owner surrender, he was misunderstood. He did not present well in the kennel and seemed reactive and wild at first. Some volunteers were nervous to walk him because he was difficult to leash and very vocal.
But once Jelly got out of the kennel, everyone started to realize the truth: he just wanted to talk, loudly, and he really just wanted a buddy. Sadly, because he was misunderstood, he ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, donations made it possible for him to enter a Board and Train program at The Perfect Pup in Statesville, and he has now graduated with flying colors.
Jelly is a happy, outgoing boy who is ready for an active family to call his own. He is incredibly sweet, loves meeting people, and is excellent out in public. Whether you are heading to a brewery, park, or hiking trail, Jelly is the kind of dog who would love to come along.
Jelly is dog-friendly and would do best with a confident, playful dog who enjoys a rough-and-rowdy play style, ideally another bully breed who can match his energy. He is very responsive and has great recall, even when he gets a little excited during playtime.
He is not a fit for a home with cats. He is great with kids, but because he can be a little rough when excited, children ages 6 and up would be best.
Jelly has excellent leash manners, is reliable off leash, and has a wonderful foundation of obedience. He has worked so hard, and now he just needs the family who will help him keep building on everything he has learned.

Meet Moe! 🐾
Moe is the sweetest, goofiest boy around, and at just 1 year old, he is still very much a playful pup. He loves toys, tug, ball, and pretty much anything you are willing to play with him. He’ll even bring you his rope toy to let you know he is ready for fun.
Moe has beautiful reddish fawn coloring, stunning eyes, and the cutest ears. He is friendly, affectionate, lovable, and more than happy to climb into your lap, all 55 lbs of him.
He sleeps nicely in his crate at night, can be crated when you leave, and also relaxes well when tethered in the house, especially with some soothing music playing. He could make a great work-from-home buddy.
Moe is dog-friendly and loves to play, so he would do best with active furry friends who enjoy his fun-loving energy. He is not reactive on walks to dogs, cars, or strollers, though he can be strong on leash at first and does best once he settles into calmer settings.
Because Moe is so excited to see his people, he may jump up to say hello and will need help learning to keep all four paws on the floor. For now, he may be best suited for a home with older kids while he works on those skills.
Moe is smart, eager to please, treat motivated, and responsive to training. He would love a backyard or an active family who can give him playtime, structure, and lots of love.

Meet Spenser! 🐾
Spenser is a handsome cattle dog mix with beautiful blue eyes, unlimited enthusiasm, and enough personality to fill an entire house.
This boy is energy, comedy, and adventure all rolled into one. Need a hiking buddy? He’s in. Want to play fetch? Absolutely. Another round of fetch? Even better. Spenser wakes up ready to seize the day, chase the day, and maybe organize the day into neat little groups.
Because Spenser is such a busy, high-energy guy, he is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. Other animals just may not appreciate his enthusiasm or his “executive management style.”
His dream home includes a fully fenced yard where he can safely zoom, an active family who enjoys adventures, and people who understand that a tired cattle dog is a happy cattle dog.

Meet Drew! 🐾
Drew is a 1-year-old neutered pup who is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and full of wonderful qualities.
He is food motivated, knows basic commands, picks up on schedules quickly, and does well on leash without pulling. Drew is also potty trained, though he may pee if he gets stressed, so he will do best with someone patient and understanding as he settles in.
Drew is quiet, sweet, and easy to have around. He goes into his crate when told, may fuss for a few minutes, and then settles down to sleep. He also self-entertains with toys, loves balls, and will happily lay next to you on the couch with his toys without bothering you.
One of the best things about Drew is that he matches your energy. He can play, relax, and simply be near you. He will need super chewer toys, but he has so much love and potential to give.
