AuthorMom Outnumbered

Hi!
My name is Kerri Green;
Wife to Justin, and mother to four highly entertaining daughters
-Alena, Chloe, Tessa, and Paige.
I am an artist, a writer, a daycare provider,
a lover of people, a believer that there is humor and beauty in all things,
and the author of Mom Outnumbered;
a blog about real family life, and my observations of it.
My goal is to make people laugh,
to be there for them when they cry,
and most importantly,
to let them know that they are not at all alone in this up and down world.
I live with my family in Sebastopol California, and I am opening the window into our life.
So welcome!
Come in.
Sit down.
Just please don’t mind the mysterious wet spots.

The Shrug

I went to the doctor this week to have her look at my elbow, which has been hurting terribly for quite some time. During my exam, the doctor asked me what kind of motions I do with my arm. I just looked at her a second, not really knowing how to...

Now You Need Me, Now You Don’t

This is a picture of my nearly 13 year old daughter, Chloe, about to attend her very first school dance. Now, I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “Why, Kerri, I would have expected an actual photograph of such a momentous occasion as a...

On What We Grabbed

I live in Sonoma County California. As you may know, this is the county currently being ravaged by wildfires once again. The power has been out for days, sirens are near-constant, people are panicked, then zombies, then back to panicked again. The...

Just Standing Here Liking Myself

I’ve been kind of hard on myself lately. Daily running through a list of things I should have gotten done. The header of my paper “Ways I Underachieved Again Today.” Should have dusted, should have called that place back, should have added that one...

It Isn’t Water

I got placed on the school harvest party committee. An email went out to the moms involved and I was the only one not named Brianna. The email talked about us planning a time to get together and brainstorm about games and craft ideas, but all I...

Marriage – Year 14

I have a new guilty pleasure. Lifetime’s “Married at First Sight.” The premise is three brand new couples, matched by relationship experts, who agree to have their first meeting with one another be at the end of their wedding aisle. They’ve never...

The Do Nothing Day

Sometimes I’m just tired of the running. Tired of shuffling kids through all the To-Do’s. Put on shoes. Grab the bag. Get in the van. Buckle seatbelt, unbuckle seatbelt, buckle seatbelt again. My youngest, Paige, a die-hard Home-Body, has been known...

The Last Time

I taught my seven year old to use the microwave today, and sat back feeling accomplished. See? I was doing OK. I was fine with increasing displays of just how big they’re all getting! I was mature enough to handle gifting them these tools of...

The Girl I Saw

The following is written by a guest blogger. The opinions expressed here are those of the writer and do not reflect the opinions of Bob Lacey, Sheri Lynch or the Bob & Sheri show. I can remember sitting in her therapist’s office years ago with...
