Deck to Page 10
Lately, I’ve noticed a common thread in conversations—so many people are coming down with something, feeling stressed out, or just plain overwhelmed. When life piles on, it’s easy to get caught in the cycle of “push harder, do more.” But sometimes, the real path forward is much softer.
This week, I pulled a card from my Mindful Souls Affirmation Deck with a message that felt perfectly timed:
Attract Healing Energy
“I bring good vibes into my life by letting go of toxic thoughts and caring for myself with habits that positively connect my mind, body, and spirit.”
The challenge that came with it is a simple one:
Take a few minutes to do something that makes you feel peaceful and happy.
That might look different for everyone—listening to your favorite song, stepping outside for a few deep breaths, or simply letting yourself laugh. Healing isn’t always about big, sweeping changes. Sometimes, it’s about noticing the tiny ways you can bring more peace into your day.
To make this more practical, I also pulled from my Stress Relief & Self-Care deck. The card? Coffee or Tea Ceremony.
Objective: Finding calm in everyday moments.
- Pour yourself a cup of coffee, tea, or hot beverage of your choice.
- Close your eyes and sit with your beverage. Enjoy the aroma and the peace of mind.
- Take a long, slow sip, paying attention to how the warm liquid feels moving down your throat.
- Feel gratitude for having the presence of mind to practice mindfulness through an everyday act.
It doesn’t get much simpler than that, does it? An everyday cup becomes more than just a drink—it turns into a moment of grounding, gratitude, and calm.
Creating Space for Peace
When we think about healing, we often imagine long journeys, complicated routines, or things that take hours out of our already full days. But the truth is, healing energy can be attracted in the smallest, most ordinary moments. The key is presence.
That first sip of morning coffee when the house is still quiet. The way steam curls up from your mug and disappears into the air. The deep breath you take before a meeting starts. These are not just moments to rush past—they can be tiny doorways into healing if we let them.
And here’s the beautiful part: every time you choose to slow down and notice, you’re retraining your mind and body. You’re reminding yourself that stress isn’t the only voice in the room. Calm is available. Gratitude is available. Healing is available.
Finding Peace in the Ordinary
We don’t always have control over the chaos around us, but we do have the power to choose how we care for ourselves in the middle of it. When you let go of toxic thoughts, breathe into the present, and turn daily routines into small rituals of care, you invite healing energy into your life.
So, the next time you make yourself a cup of coffee or tea, I invite you to treat it as more than just a beverage. Make it a pause. Make it a practice. Make it a cup of calm.
I am interested in learning what little ritual helps you find your calm?
