One morning I woke up at 5am thinking about this.
Not because I had to write…
but because something was already speaking.
Tarot.
Oracle.
Two systems that often get grouped together…
and yet, they move very differently.
Tarot is one of the earliest and most recognized card systems.
It follows a structure.
A framework.
A language that has been studied, interpreted, and passed down over time.
Seventy-eight cards.
Major Arcana. Minor Arcana.
Each card carrying specific symbolism and meaning.
There is something grounding about Tarot.
Something rooted.
It gives you a system to step into and learn from.
Oracle cards feel different.
Not because they are “less than” …
but because they are less confined.
There is no single structure.
No universal system.
Each deck is created through the voice of its author—
its own perspective, its own energy, its own intention.
Oracle cards are fluid.
Flexible.
Expansive.
I’ve worked with both.
I still do.
I have multiple Tarot decks, and I respect the system they come from.
But I’ve also noticed something about the way I work…
I don’t stay in one lane.
I’ll pull from Tarot.
I’ll pull from Oracle.
I’ll mix decks that were never “meant” to go together.
Not because I’m ignoring the structure—
but because I’m listening to something beyond it.
I’ve never been either/or.
I’ve always been both/and.
And sometimes… the cards don’t make sense right away.
You look at them and think,
“What does that even mean?”
But then later—hours, days, sometimes even longer—
something happens.
A moment. A conversation. A realization.
And suddenly it clicks:
“Oh… that’s what that meant.”
That’s when you realize…
the message didn’t arrive late.
It arrived right on time.
There’s also something important to understand here:
Neither Tarot nor Oracle cards are about predicting your future.
They don’t take your power away.
If anything… they give it back.
They bring awareness.
They highlight patterns.
They invite you to notice what you might be overlooking.
A card isn’t the answer.
It’s the beginning of a conversation.
A dialogue with yourself.
A deeper dialogue.
With your intuition.
With something greater, whatever that means for you.
Fixed systems have their place.
But real transformation…
often happens in the flexible space between them.
And maybe the question isn’t
“What do the cards say?”
Maybe the question is…
What are you ready to see?
This is often where clarity begins.

Concrete solutions. Flexible guidance.
If something in this post stirred something in you…
that’s usually where the real work begins.
If you’ve been feeling:
- stuck in the same patterns
- overwhelmed or unsure of your next step
- or like something is “off” but you can’t quite name it
This is often what I help people navigate in sessions—
not just what the cards say, but what they’re revealing over time.
You don’t have to figure it out alone.
