Book: One Question A Day for Positivity
When I read today’s question, “What subjects do you know a lot about?” I smiled. Sometimes we underestimate just how much knowledge we carry. We spend so much time looking for what we don’t know that we forget the treasures we’ve already gathered.
For me, there are subjects I’ve studied formally, others I’ve lived, and still others I’ve absorbed by being part of something bigger than myself. Each has shaped me into who I am and how I show up in the world.
Movies, Magic, and Stunts
I know a lot about movies — not just as an audience member, but from growing up as the daughter of a Hollywood stuntman. My father spent decades choreographing fight scenes, crashing cars, and doubling for stars. That meant our family dinners sometimes included talk of explosions, special effects, and the precision it takes to make danger look effortless. I didn’t just watch movies; I learned about what goes on behind the scenes. I can spot the small details most viewers miss, and I carry a deep respect for the artistry, teamwork, and courage that shape movie magic.
That perspective is something I know well: how illusion and reality dance together, and how much trust it takes to create those cinematic moments that captivate us.
Health and Healing Practices
I also know a lot about health. Over the years, I’ve immersed myself in Reiki, energy work, mindfulness, and spiritual coaching. These aren’t simply hobbies or side interests — they are the foundation of my professional life. Through my practice, I’ve seen how people can transform when given the tools to understand their own energy, release what no longer serves them, and lean into healing.
Together with my husband, who is a Chiropractor, we run a fully integrated health clinic. There, I’ve expanded my knowledge into areas like chiropractic care, nutrition, and self-care practices. I know what it looks like when someone walks through the door burdened with stress or pain, and I know how powerful it can be when they leave lighter, freer, and more connected to themselves.
The Classroom and Beyond
On the academic side, I know a lot about psychology — both through study and lived experience. I’ve taken what I’ve learned in the classroom and woven it together with the intuitive, spiritual side of my work. That combination helps me meet clients where they are, whether they come seeking evidence-based tools or a space to explore their spiritual gifts.
Everyday Wisdom
But “subjects we know a lot about” aren’t always grand or formal. I also know a lot about journaling, about paying attention to synchronicities, and about the rituals of daily life that bring peace — like lighting a candle, brewing tea, or stepping outside to watch the birds. I know how small, mindful acts can shift the entire course of a day.
Sometimes the things we know best are the ones we’ve lived quietly, over and over again.
Reflection Prompts for You
- What subjects do you know a lot about, and how did you come to learn them?
- Which life experiences have given you expertise without formal training?
- How do you share what you know with others — through work, friendships, or creative expression?
- What new subject would you love to explore, and what small step could you take today to begin?
Call to Action
Take five minutes today to create your own “knowing list.” Write down the subjects you know a lot about — from your career to your passions to the everyday wisdom you’ve picked up along the way. You may be surprised by how full the list becomes. And remember: what you know matters. It has the power not only to guide your own journey but also to inspire and support the people around you.
