An introvert who accidentally stumbled into a radio studio and is too awkward to leave.

I finally completed one of the tasks I’d been dreading the most since becoming a homeowner.

Working on home projects has been a slow grind because doing it takes a lot of time…and it’s expensive too. But it was finally time to upgrade the main bathroom in the off chance someone actually comes to my house (please don’t).

Here’s a look at the before:

Please don’t ask me who in the world decided to paint this bathroom the same color as a green screen! However, I am totally at fault for purchasing the random brown shower curtain.

My plan was to replace everything except for the tub: the toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet mirror thingie, and the flooring.

The flooring was a pain in the butt, but still easier than expected. Replacing the toilet made me nervous because SO many things could go wrong after the fact…I’m knocking on wood as I type this that nothing has leaked or exploded yet.

Next came paint. That vibrant green was kinda crazy, but I didn’t completely hate the idea of the bathroom being a green color. That’s why I went with Sherwin Williams’ “Evergreen Fog.”

Evergreen Fog is a soothing green (with some gray and blue); how green it looks is dependent on the temperature of the lighting. While painting it looked gray with the “daylight” bulbs, so I switched to 2700K bulbs and it looks great.

Anyway, here’s the finished results:

Next up? It’s a “Choose Your Own Adventure” of home projects: replace ceiling tiles in the kitchen, repair the back patio, or clean out the garage.
