Well it happened. The midnight “oh shit” moment where I realized my dishwasher (a $40 Facebook Marketplace buy thats 10 years old) wasn’t draining. Now, I’m not a very handy gal. I been slowly building the skill sets up for things like this and firmly taking on the “make do and mend” 1940’s mindset I decided to do some research and see if I could resolve the problem on my own.
Growing up, we didn’t have a ton of extra cash for handy-men, or just buying a replacement machine when something broke. My dad was the “I’ll fix it myself type” and still is. He’s currently building his own outdoor shed and I suppose I could have called him, but in my 30’s I’m trying to rely less on always having someone to call in and learn the skills necessary to resolve the issues whenever I can. So I did what any millennial would do- Youtube tutorial.
